How can schools become inspiring learning environments? Which concepts combine architecture, pedagogy and urban development? This debate is the focus of the SCHULBAU Salon & Messe Copenhagen 2025. Prof. Jan R. Krause will accompany the dialogue as moderator and bring his expertise in architecture, communication and educational research to the discussion.

SCHULBAU Think Tank Copenhagen 2025: Networking, Knowledge Transfer, Shaping the Future
The SCHULBAU trade fair will be held at the Skabelonloftet in Copenhagen on June 3, 2025. It is a platform for architects, planners, education experts and decision-makers who are thinking ahead about educational construction. What do sustainable school buildings look like? What role do modular concepts and digital learning environments play? The event offers practical insights, expert discussions and new perspectives for the educational construction of tomorrow.
As part of SCHULBAU Copenhagen, an architecture tour will also take place from June 1 to 4, 2025, which will highlight exemplary school building projects in and around Copenhagen. An opportunity to get to know international concepts and exchange ideas with colleagues.
Architecture as an Educational Mission
For Prof. Jan R. Krause, architecture is more than just the built space – it shapes learning cultures and social processes. In Copenhagen, he will accompany the discussion about the design of sustainable schools and raise crucial questions: How can buildings respond flexibly to changing educational requirements? Which materials and construction methods are sustainable? And how does school construction become part of a vibrant urban development?
Anyone who wants to think further about educational construction will find expertise, exchange and inspiration here.
