House of Generations, visualization: Nerd Architects
How can educational spaces be designed that bring different generations together and promote social interaction? This question is at the heart of the visionary House of Generations project in Nivå, Denmark. Developed by Nerd Architects under the direction of Martin Roald Schrøder Poulsen in collaboration with CF Møller Architects, GPP Arkitekter and AFRY, the concept demonstrates how education, culture and community can merge under one roof.
A vision for more encounters and diversity
The House of Generations combines a school, library, cultural center and sports hall into an ensemble that combines functional requirements with social added value. Open access and permeable structures create spaces for encounters, while the harmonious connection between city and landscape expands learning and living spaces. Places are created here where exchange and collaboration are the focus.
