Troldtekt success in Germany – now also in the UK

July 12, 2023

Participation in several Schulbau events, including the very first one ten years ago in Hamburg, has been the door opener for Danish Troldtekt’s Cradle-to-Cradle acoustic panels made of wood concrete for the German market. Here, as in all other markets, the target group is primarily architects. In Hamburg since 2015 with a German company, office with a showroom, and currently 10 employees.

Troldtekt has great success in German sales and has won several German awards. Last year, Troldtekt was awarded a Danish royal honorary award “HRH Crown Prince Frederik International Business Award” for promoting Danish exports for, among other things, a strong business model with sustainable solutions.

And “naturally” Troldtekt also participated in the first Danish Schulbau in Copenhagen. Here Byggeeksport met Troldtekt’s Communications and Sustainability Manager Tina Snedker Kristensen, who had many positive stories to tell about the German market. But also that sales of their many different acoustic panels applied to all of them. But she thinks that German architects might be a little more daring than the Danish and showed an example of a colorful patterned acoustic ceiling delivered to an office in Berlin.

Troldtekt is well represented in Europe with offices and dealers, but this was increased and strengthened last year when Troldtekt was acquired by the Irish-listed building materials group Kingspan, said Tina Snedker Kristensen. As of mid-June, Troldtekt is now also represented in London. Already has offices in Norway and Stockholm.

Troldtekt also participated at Building Green Hamburg, where Tina Snedker Kristensen took part in a panel debate on, among other things, the new EU requirements for companies’ sustainability requirements, where Troldtekt is at the forefront with certifications such as Cradle-to-Cradle.
